Shane Oas is the owner of On The Spot Truck Repair, a fast paced, growing truck repair shop. He is involved in all aspects of running the business, and oversees parts puchases to repairs. Shane started On the Spot Truck Repair in 1999, after building a custom service truck from the ground up in his driveway. He has built his reputation by doing things the right way the first time, and standing firmly behind his work. In 2000, he quit his job of 8 years at Portland Freightliner to pursue his road service business full time. Prior to that, he worked at

DSU on Swan Island, & North Pacific Truck Repair. In 2008, Shane had an opportunity to take over fleet maintenance for Gulick Trucking, and has been here ever since.

Shane was raised on a farm in a small town in North Dakota, and learned his strong work ethic from his father & grandfather, helping them out on the farm, and at his grandfathers farm implement store. At 15, Shane went to Montana to try his hand at logging. He was very successful and stayed in the field until he was 19. After that, he went back to North Dakota to “ruff neck” in the oil field. Shane was in a serious accident on the rig at age 22. After an extensive rehabilitation process, he went to college for diesel mechanics. Shane took his new knowledge and moved to Portland in 1991.
